Lip fillers are a popular cosmetic procedure used to enhance the fullness, shape, and definition of the lips. They involve injecting a dermal filler substance into the lips to add volume and create a more desirable appearance.
The most common types of lip filler are made from hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance found in the body.
Benefits of Lip Fillers:
Enhances fullness and volume: Lip fillers can help to create fuller, more pouty lips.
Improves definition: They can help to define the lip border and create a more defined appearance.
Corrects asymmetry: Lip fillers can be used to correct uneven lips.
Non-surgical: It's a minimally invasive procedure that doesn't require any incisions or anesthesia.
Quick and easy: The procedure typically takes only a few minutes.
Minimal downtime: Most people can resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment.
The effects of lip fillers typically last for 6 to 12 months. Repeat treatments or touch-ups may be necessary to maintain the desired results.

The before picture was taken on December 2022, before any lip filler. The after picture was taken immediately after the patient's 2nd lip filler session. The patient got a total of 2 full syringes of filler.
These Lips 💋 were done in 2 sessions:
️1st session Juvéderm Ultra XC, 1ml full syringe
️2nd session Juvéderm Volbella, 1ml full syringe
This patient had Bell's Palsy many years ago that left her with one side of her upper lip drooping down, getting rid of her naturally very pronounced cupid's bow on that side.
To fix the Bell's Palsy lip droop, in the 1st session Dr. Barrueta used a thicker filler to create structural support, filling mostly the droopy side to make the lips more symmetrical.
The patient did not want big lips, so in the 2nd session last week, Dr. Barrueta used a softer filler to create a hydrated, youthful, natural-looking pout.
Photos are untouched and unfiltered. Bruises and swelling take 1 to 2 weeks to resolve. Lipstick can be worn the next day to cover up any bruising that may occur. Lips are red because they are very vascular and contain many blood vessels, so they often times bruise.
